Wii successor will be launched in 2012

Nintendo has confirmed plans to launch a successor to Wii in 2012
The company said the game "in 2012 decided to launch a Wii system to succeed." Nintendo said it sold 86.01 million Wii console launch in 2006.
A version of this new system and its specifications will be presented at an event on video games in Los Angeles in June, Nintendo has revealed.
The news should not surprise anyone. Rumors of a potential new Wii, which could cost between 350-400 U.S. dollars circulating for some time. Until the announcement of Nintendo, it is considered that the new console could be launched in October, but the company's statements refute these allegations.

IGN site dedicated to games, reported that his sources indicate that the new Wii called Cafe Project:
According to sources who have information about the project, the new Nintendo console could cost between 350-400 dollars, Taiwanese manufacturer Foxconn delivered in October.
However, Nintendo could also opt for a longer period allocation of software development and launch of the game could be extended until early 2012.

In the announcement, Nintendo revealed the future system specifications. But IGN believes that the new console will have more horsepower than the existing Wii. "The system will be based on R 700 AMD GPU version, not on AMD's Fusion, as considered so far," wrote IGN.
Many people are wondering when and if Nintendo will launch a performance to rival the PS3 or Xbox 360. If the information is accurate IGN, 2012 seems to be the answer. Of course, it is unlikely that Microsoft Creuse would expect Nintendo and Sony to capture the entire market. Most likely, the two companies will wait before launching Nintendo act accordingly. An article published last week mentioned that neither Sony nor Microsoft will launch a new console until 2014.
"Both companies expect to extend the life of the current generation of consoles, although there are clear signs of Nintendo launching in 2012," the blog dedicated to video games, Kotaku.
